Today I'm roaming the mysterious unmade western world with John Creedmoor. He has just left Dr. Liv and the scarecrow of a man we call General at the pool of water to go hunt for the creature that's hunting in the wood of Oaks and animals similar to what we know are in the woods, but just slightly different - enough different to not be what we know lives in the forests. This creature is deadly and seems to be of a snakish form.

ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading Delirium by Lauren Oliver and the main character is about to be "evaluated" to see how her future is going to be planned out. Creepy.

ReplyDeleteThis is from KILL THE DEAD, the second Sandman Slim book by Richard Kadrey. If you haven't read them, do it now! (KTD is so good that I put it down on page 371 [out of 434], just so I could have something awesome to read tomorrow!) :)
Rissatoo - you make Kill the Dead sound great. :) I didn't pick up Sandman Slim, even with all the great things I heard of it because it didn't seem to click with me. But I will say this does sound good now. ;) Thank you for playing along!
