Throwback Thursday (29)

Let's talk about those books already on the shelves, yours or the stores.

I have a post for books I'm looking forward to coming out;

Looking Forward To...
But what about all those wonderful books that are ALREADY on the shelves.

Whether it be on your shelf waiting to be read or on the shelves in the stores waiting for you to give it a good home.

So, I thought I would share a book a week that is just waiting for me to travel through it's world.

Now... where do I start? Lets go by Published Date on the books...

This Week:

Aaaa... I'm REALLY looking forward to reading this book.  I LOVED the first book, Chasing the Bard.  LOVED it I say.  The writing style and telling of the story was WONDERFUL.  Okay, so I'm over the top right.  Well, the book just worked so well for me, which might not for others but for me it was the perfect book at the perfect timing.  This is the next in the series of William Shakespeare's fairies, but several years past Chasing the Bard.  I'll be reading this book shortly when I need my Philippa Ballantine book fix. lol.

Would you like to read my review of the first book?  Click the title.
Chasing the Bard

Goodreads Synopsis:
"Lord what fools these mortals be."

The Fey are gone...and with it, magic. At least, that is how things seem with the demise of the Dark Goddess and The Bard.

Penheram is a quaint, sleepy English village where people escape the 21st century. Hiding from the world of laptop computers, the Internet, and wireless communications, is Ella. Once a celebrated writer, now barren of ideas and drive, she resigns to a life of a deadline-free solitude. Everything changes with the arrival of a shape shifting thief. Suddenly everyone from the local librarian to the lady of the manor begin to change, revealing true natures and dangerous secrets.

Something in this sleepy English village is awakening...and some of these things were better left alone.

  4. The synopsis interests me yet something about the cover turns me off. Not sure what it is; plus, anything with the word "digital" in it for some reason makes me think that it will be overly-techie.

  5. Can I join the ninja raid as well (or at least drive the getaway car)? There are so many book Melissa has that I want - not least the Phillipa Ballantine books! :)

  6. Okay you all! Blodeuedd, Melissa (Books&Things), & Mel... I've got my eyes on you. Any funny movies and... well... I don't know what to do next. But something will happen. Thats for sure. ;D

So glad you all enjoy the sounds of this book and others I have here. :)

Oh Melissa (Books&THings) I'm soooo glad the skills don't come with the outfit for ninja or I'd, er my books, would be in trouble! lol.

Mel - we got to bet you a Philippa book here soon. You and Blodeuedd.

StephanieD - Glad you like the sounds of the book. Sorry the cover doesn't work for you. I'm actually kind of curious because of the word Digital. I wonder how that will work with the fey idea too. :) Thank you. I acually have a different cover than this one. And really love it better. I couldn't find a copy of it though.
