Sunday Post #158

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share new about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay. These unexpected days spent going to colleges or standing in line to get the pavilion for his graduation party (for the day we want) are getting me all messed up! I don't know what day it is and everything is all out of wack. My schedule is totally messed up as is my house. lol. I'm sorry I've been so MIA this last week. I just can't keep caught up.
I was hoping to get through the end of Dirty Magic by now. That didn't happen. Sure there is time left today but I have to bath the dogs, go to the grocery store, and visit with my dad yet so the odds are little that I'll get through it. Also, WALKING DEAD IS BACK TONIGHT! lol. I've been watching the series with my son, so it's fun time for us. :)
Okay, I don't normally talk about the weather. Where I live it's a bit of everything but that's through out the year and seasons. Right now, it's like Mother Nature is on crack! We go from 65F to 30F and six inches of snow within 24 hours! Then we warm up so all the white stuff is gone, to 55F, just to return to snow. All this temperature changes are 24 hour frames. It's crazy!
The Fit Booker:
Goal:  Workout in any form of exercise (or on Wii Fit) 2x's a week. (to feel better and hope to drop a few pants sizes)
How did I do last week... This week was a week of life things. I didn't get as much exercise as I wanted. Tuesday I did the elliptical and Thursday I worked out with weights and elliptical.
Reviews:
The Bee Charmer by Poppy Lawless
"Seriously, these are just the sweetest books. I love the feeling I get from them. You know they are HEA but you can't help wanting to see how they stumble there and how things are righted for them."
Hunting Down Dragons by Tricia Owens
"I enjoyed the blend of friends that Anne has, and her love interest. The world here is full of supernaturals - monkey shifter, gargoyle, fortune teller, wolf shifter water fae, and Anne herself who's dragon blood, and these are just Anne's close friends. Anne is a great person that's also of a diverse nationality."
Knightswrath by Michael Meyerhofer
PICK UP AT AMAZON
Goodreads Synopsis:
Rowen Locke has achieved his dream of becoming a Knight of the Crane, and he now bears Knightswrath, the legendary sword of Fâyu Jinn. But the land remains torn, and though Rowen suffers doubts, he would see it healed. His knightly order is not what it seems, though, and allies remain thin. When Rowen and his friends seek an alliance with the forest-dwelling Sylvs, a tangle of events results in a midnight duel that teaches Rowen a dangerous lesson and leaves him with a new companion of uncertain loyalties.
The sadistic Dhargots still threaten the kingdoms, but another menace lurks in the shadows, playing a game none can see. As Rowen struggles to prove his worth—to his allies and to himself—chaos raises its hand to strike. A price must be paid, and not even the wielder of Knightswrath will remain untouched.
Kingsteel by Michael Meyerhofer
Rowen Locke has won the battle. But from the shadows comes an ancient enemy. Rowen is now mired in a war bigger and more terrible than anything he could have imagined.
The world’s only hope lies in Knightswrath, whose hard-won powers he has only begun to understand, let alone control. Calling upon unlikely new allies, Rowen must raise an army to defeat the vengeful Dragonkin.
The Dragonward by Michael Meyerhofer
Three years after the War of the Lotus, alliances have already begun to unravel. As Rowen Locke struggles to maintain peace, troubling news reaches him from every corner. Old friends fight each other when not drowning their sorrows in taverns.
A new threat emerges from across the sea, dispatched by the same exiled Dragonkin who have been plotting their revenge for centuries. Rowen and his companions soon realize that the target is the Dragonward itself: their one and only defense against an evil so vast even Knightswrath could not vanquish it.
There, she meets Ben Fieldstone, who seeks answers about his parents’ death the night the meteorite struck. In a race to stop a madman, they unravel a frightening secret that binds them together.
Book:
Countless Hues of Crimson by Philippa Ballantine & Tee Morris
PICK UP AT AMAZON
Goodreads Synopsis:
From the writers of the Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences
comes the erotic novel you haven’t been waiting for.
Anastasia Brassingware is a daughter of English aristocracy, but her station has been brought low by her father’s belief in ridiculous quick schemes. Now forced into penury, she must take any menial job.
A chance meeting with enigmatic pineapple merchant, Lord Heathcliff Redd, has changed everything. Drawn in by his brooding ways, the maiden discovers the pineapple merchant’s darker pleasures, and technological wonders that do more than just core his tropical bounties with ease.
Take caution, dear reader. This is a novel of shadow, of desire, and of wanton lust. This novella is not a collection of standing orders for a clandestine organization within Her Majesty’s government. No sir. No how. No way. Nowhere in this scintillating novel of erotic perversion are coded messages intended for agents that investigate the strange, the bizarre, and the unnatural. No. In this novella are pages of good British smut, just the way God intended. This is the story of a wide-eyed ingénue innocent to carnal pleasures, a wealthy English lord with a pineapple fetish, and fresh fruit bending to their will.
No standing orders whatsoever.
“I think a small part of me just died.” — Wellington Thornhill Books, Esq.
“It made me rather tingly.” — H.J. Rodwell
